Associate Degree Programs

Associate degree programs are two-year programs. An Associate Degree in Arts (AA degree) and/or an Associate Degree in Science (AS degree) will be awarded when the student successfully completes all necessary graduation requirements (60 degree applicable units/credits) with a required Grade Point Average (GPA). To see a list of associate degree programs, visit the Degrees and Certificates website.

Learning Outcomes

  1. International students at Skyline College will demonstrate their understanding of the SEVIS/immigration regulations for maintaining their legal status. This will lead to a retention rate for international students as their enrollment is dependent on their immigration status.
    Measures for Achievement:
    • Conduct a mandatory new student orientation each semester; provide follow-up orientations for late arrivals.
    • Provide at least one or two workshops focused on immigration issues each semester.
    • Keep the ISP website up-to-date with relevant information.
  2. International students at Skyline College will utilize academic advising services as well as other support services provided by ISP staff members. This will help international students succeed academically and increase the transfer opportunities.
    Measures for Achievement:
    • Include an academic orientation in the mandatory new student orientation.
    • Provide at least two appointments with an international student counselor during the first semester.
