Financial Aid Handbook

The Financial Aid Handbook is your student guide to information about the financial aid programs at Skyline College. Please read it carefully so you can become familiar with the process of applying for financial aid, know what programs are available, and understand what you must do to remain eligible to receive aid while completing your educational program.

Please let us know if you need assistance as a non-English speaking student. We can provide information in Spanish and Tagalog. We can also make arrangements to provide information in your native language. Please contact us and we will be happy to assist you.

The Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) (20 U.S.C. § 1232g; 34 CFR Part 99) is a Federal law that protects the privacy of student education records. The law applies to all schools that receive funds under an applicable program of the U.S. Department of Education.  For more information, please visit the FERPA website.

Financial Aid Office Policy

Students must present a valid government or school issued picture I.D. when submitting documentation in person. (Unless a student authorization is on file granting specific permission to another, we cannot accept documents in-person from anyone other than the student.) If mailing documents, you must include a legible copy of a valid government or school issued picture I.D. and write the student’s name and G-Number at the top of every page for all documents. The Financial Aid Office will not accept documents via fax or email. Some requirements are online authorizations that you must accept or decline. If you have trouble submitting your online authorizations, your Internet browser may be out of date or incompatible.

If you have any questions, please contact us.
