What is a 1098-T Tuition Statement?

Eligible educational institutions file the 1098-T for each student they enroll and for whom a reportable transaction is made. You, or the person who can claim you as a dependent, may be able to claim an education credit on IRS Form 1040 or Form 1040A. The 1098-T tuition statement has been furnished to you by the San Mateo County Community College District (SMCCCD), if you were enrolled in one or more of our three colleges: College of San Mateo, Skyline College and Cañada College.  For additional information, please refer to http://smccd.edu/1098t .

Yes, to access your 1098-T online, log into WebSMART, select “Student Records” under the “Student Services” menu and then click on “Tax Notification” and enter “2016” to display your statement.
