The deadline to submit for the 2026 issue of Talisman is Friday, February 27, 2026. Notifications occur later in spring. The magazine will be published by the end of spring semester.
Talisman accepts submissions of poetry, prose, and art. Any student enrolled at Skyline College is eligible to submit work for consideration. The magazine is completely designed and created by Skyline College students each Spring Semester.
Submission Guidelines
- Each submission should have YOUR NAME and EMAIL ADDRESS.
- Submissions that do not follow guidelines will not be considered.
- Contributors receive two copies of Talisman.
- Submit by Friday, February 27, 2026
Writing
Send Poetry and/or Prose submissions EITHER as a Word Document to SkylineTalisman@my.smccd.edu OR deliver a hard copy to Professor Rob Williams in the Language Arts Division in Bldg. 8, Rm. 8-112.
Poetry: 1-5 Poems
Prose: 1 - 2 pieces fiction/ non-fiction/drama (7 page max, double spaced, 12 pt font)
Visual Art
Email visual art submissions to SkylineTalisman@my.smccd.edu
Visual Art: 1-5 Pieces. Scan your art or take a high-resolution photo (minimum 300 dpi/ppi)
Provide the titles (if any) of your work

All submissions will be considered for Prizes.
