In a diverse range of initiatives, the Sigma Omicron Chapter strives to support each other academically, to work for a positive campus culture, to advocate for the health of academics, and to serve the community at large. is a international Honor Society for two-year Business Programs accredited by the Accreditation Council of Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP). Alpha Beta Chi is the Skyline College chapter of Kappa Beta Delta. Umoja-ASTEP

is a learning community and transfer support program focused on the African American community college experience through the nurturing of knowledge, intellect, academic exploration, cultural, and spiritual identities, gifts, values and practices.

When you join the program, you can expect to gain a supportive network of faculty and staff, transfer support and planning, including transfer pathways to the UCs, CSUs, and HBCUs, and opportunities for field trips, university campus visits, helpful workshops, engaging seminars, and more.

The Veterans Resource Center

is a resource for veterans, active duty service members, National Guard and Reserve members, and their dependents to access support services including:

  • Referrals to campus and community resource information
  • Assistance with questions on steps in the Skyline College application process and with the process to utilize VA Educational Benefits at Skyline College.
  • Campus and community service resource visits/events (hosted virtually).
  • Representative from the SF VA Medical Center's Student Veteran Health Program

Puente

is a two-semester transfer support program linking students, a counselor, an English instructor, community mentors, and colleges.

Through the reading of Chicano/Latino literature and writings, counseling assistance, and connections to professional mentors, students receive the instruction and support they need to achieve academic success and transfer. Students also participate in extracurricular activities, such as college tours, UC representative visits, and family nights, which are designed to increase the retention of Puente Students. The Puente Program is open to all students.

CIPHER

is a hip hop and social justice community that seeks to foster leadership development and creativity.

We provides youth and students direct linkages to programs and services at Skyline College such as the Youth Entrepreneurship Program (YEP), Urban Music Academy, Career Center, Urban Youth Society Hip Hop Club, and the SparkPoint Center. We also provide the community with educational and cultural events such as Hip Hop film screenings, live performances, guest lecture series, the annual Rock the School Bells conference, and more.

Kababayan

is a transfer and support group relating to the Filipino and Filipino American cultural experience.

By using culturally appropriate and relevant texts, the Kababayan instructors, tutors, and mentors hope to generate lively and timely discussions about the students themselves and the community around them, making the students' coursework come alive. Some of our programs include the Filipino Student Union, the Kapatiran Mentorship Program and The Kababayan Dance Troupe. All students are welcome!

First Year Experience

is a program to help navigate the educational system, access resources, develop study skills and create a network of learners.

Our learning community is a year-long program in which a group of students (cohort) stay together in a set sequence of classes. The FYE program is geared toward full-time students who want support transitioning into college-level classes. We are also a good choice for those who would like to transfer and/or receive an AA/AS degree as quickly as possible.

ESOL: English for Speakers of Other Languages

is an opportunity for non-native speakers of English to find community and resources in their English-learning courses at Skyline College!

Skyline College has many resources and services to offer in academics, tutoring, financial aid, personal services, student community, and more. ESL Connect is here to help you learn about how to find and use these resources. We have English classes for nonnative speakers in reading and writing, grammar, and listening and speaking. Engineering and Tech Scholars

is a learning community for students pursuing these academic paths. Part of the Silicon Valley Engineering Tech Pathways project, ETS students are enrolled in accelerated Mathematics courses to establish foundational skills necessary to succeed in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering fields of study.

Through supportive group-based learning, hands-on and team-based design projects, and introduction to advanced manufacturing techniques in a brand new state-of-the-art Fabrication Laboratory, students will advance their skills in their field of study.

is a learning community for students pursuing these academic paths. Students enrolled in BCS take major-related courses together with their cohort until transfer.

Promise Scholars

is a program offering up to three full year of a fee waivers, text book assistance, transportation incentives, and intensive counseling and academic support to its scholars.

The intention of the Promise Scholars Program is to accelerate your path toward achieving your educational goals, whether you hope to earn a certificate, an associate degree, or complete general education requirements to successfully transfer to a four-year institution. This is more than a scholarship. The program aims to provide all Scholars a supportive, engaged, and inclusive community – a home on campus.

Honors Transfer Program

is an undergraduate research program designed to nurture all Skyline College students in all academic disciplines as they grow and challenge themselves in academic commitment and pursuit of rigorous, creative, community-based, and culturally relevant scholarship. A goal of the program is to produce thoughtful, respectful, and honorable scholars.

A community of peers, staff, and faculty will serve as wrap-around support for students in the program, as students can fulfill original, semester-long research projects as they develop deeper relationships with faculty-mentors. Students will also receive priority registration, have the opportunity to become a student leader or member of the Honors Club, and they will be eligible for transfer and scholarship opportunities to esteemed, four-year universities.

TRiO

is a federally funded program that offers free comprehensive services designed to promote academic success.

Our goal is to provide first-generation students, low-income students and/or students with physical or learning disabilities with resources and services to earn a certificate or graduate with an associate degree, AND transfer to a four-year university.

Women's Mentoring and Leadership Academy (WMLA)

is a program that seeks to provide women who take classes at Skyline College with social and academic support via individual, group, and peer mentoring, and through leadership development opportunities.

WMLA aims to provide contextualized and experiential learning that will foster intellectual, cultural, social, economic, and personal fulfillment for women who participate in the academy. The Women’s Mentoring and Leadership Academy welcomes all students who identify as female/women regardless of race, ethnicity, religion, age, sexual orientation, or year in school. Male-identifying students seeking this type of mentorship and leadership can find similar opportunities in BAM.

is Skyline's chapter of Phi Theta Kappa! The purpose of Phi Theta Kappa is to recognize and encourage scholarship among community college students.
