CRER 116 Deciding on a Major (0.5 units)

Designed to assist students who are undecided about their major to discover and explore major options and educational pathways. Students learn major and academic research strategies to guide their college major decision. The connections between college majors and careers will be explored.

CRER 137 Life and Career Planning (3 units)

Provides a comprehensive approach to life and career planning. Topics include self- assessment (values, skills personality and interests) and an analysis of career development over the life span. Students complete an intensive career investigation that encompasses decision-making, goal-setting, job search strategies, resume writing and interviewing skills.

CRER 145 Soft Skills for the Workplace (1 units)

An examination of the soft skills (self-management and people skills) that are necessary for gaining entry-level employment and succeeding in the workplace, including communication, collaboration, critical thinking/problem-solving, resume and cover letter writing.

CRER 665 Selected Topics in Career and Personal Development (0.5- 2 units)

Discussion and exploration of various career-related topics and their application to a student's major, career development, and career exploration.
