Employer partners are key to supporting teacher apprenticeships! Your collaboration with Skyline College provides practical, hands-on training to aspiring teachers.

These apprenticeships are designed to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and real-world teaching experience. Apprentices spend a significant portion of their time working directly in a classroom under the supervision of experienced teachers, while also also attending classes at a Skyline College to learn theoretical aspects of teaching.

Employer partners provide experienced teachers to serve as mentors, providing guidance, support, and feedback to apprentices in the early learning setting. Regular competency evaluations and mentoring reviews help apprentices improve.

By employing an ECAP student, you are helping shape the next generation of teachers, fill teaching vacancies, and ensure that new teachers are well-prepared for the classroom.
