Welcome to the Black Educator Mentorship and Support Program.
The Black Educator Mentorship and Support Program (B.E.A.M.S.) is a community centered mentorship and professional development initiative that addresses the underrepresentation of Black educators in California Community Colleges. Rooted in relationship, care, and collective learning, the program creates space for Black graduate students to learn alongside Black faculty at Skyline College as they prepare for community college teaching.
Through structured mentorship, professional development, and guided exposure to community college teaching and institutional life, participants gain practical insight, support, and community as they prepare for future faculty roles.
