Designed to introduce students to the essence of Argentine tango (the dance of love) as well as basic improvisational skills. Viewing tango as a language, students will develop musicality and focus on the connection between partners in order to dance confidently in social settings around the world. Students will learn more advanced steps which are recognizable from professional tango productions. Tango students will be introduced to Milonga, an Argentine dance which is the precursor to the tango. Viewing tango and Milonga as a language, students will develop musicality and focus on the connection between partners in order to dance confidently in social settings.
