Dance Appreciation
DANC 100 Dance Appreciation An overview of dance history, beginning with classical era folk and ethnic dance, this course will survey the development of Modern, Ballet, Jazz and other dance forms. Focusing largely on the 20th Century, students will read, write and watch videos to form an overview of the history of dance and the historical events that influenced the major choreographers of the 20th Century. NOTE: This course is not activity-based and is not applicable to the specific area requirement in Physical Education for the Associate Degree.
