Welcome to Skyline College
Meet all of your educational goals at Skyline. Start on the road to a four-year degree. Earn an associates's degree. Get specialized skills to prepare you for a rewarding career. Develop new job skills. Skyline is where it all happens.
Skyline offers a world-class education. Graduates include journalists, mathematicians, scientists, educators and more. Our students regularly transfer to Berkeley, Stanford, UCLA and other top universities. Others learn the skills they need to make better lives for themselves and their families.
The diversity on our campus creates an environment rich in culture and opportunity. Ideas are warmly embraced. Skyline is located on 111 acres just west of Skyline Boulevard in San Bruno, and is conveniently available to residents of South San Francisco, Daly City, Colma, Brisbane, San Bruno and Pacifica.
We opened in 1969, and we are one of three community colleges in the San Mateo County Community College District. The District also includes Cañada College in Redwood City and the College of San Mateo.
Students love Skyline because of our convenient location; low cost; the broad range, high quality and availability of our degree and certificate programs; flexible scheduling; and student-centered environment.
Skyline College offers opportunities for students of all ages. Through Skyline's Guaranteed Transfer Program, many Skyline graduates transfer to a wide range of four-year colleges and universities. Other Skyline college students graduate and achieve an Associate in Arts (A.A.) or Associate in Science (A.S.). Students achieve employment and advancement in business and industry after earning certificates from Skyline's 43 Certificate programs. Our certificate programs include Automotive Technology, Biotechnology, Cosmetology, many areas of Business, Early Childhood Education, Respiratory Therapy, Surgical Technology, and Telecommunications & Network Information Technology.
Skyline College is committed to preparing a highly skilled workforce for the new economy and has been recognized nationally for our efforts. Skyline and the Workforce Investment Board (WIB) have worked with Genentech and other biotechnology companies to place workers trained by the college in jobs formerly limited to those with four-year degrees. Skyline provides a convenient way to fulfill educational goals and offers short courses throughout each semester.
