About the Musical

Bullied by her peers. Dominated by her controlling mother. Neglected or ignored by everyone else. Teenager Carrie White would put all of that injustice aside, if only she had a chance to finally fit in. But Carrie has a special gift that is slowly coming into its own. A power that, fueled by Carrie's rage, could become a terrifying weapon of horror and carnage—if Carrie is pushed too far.

Content Warning

Carrie: the Musical is not intended for audiences under 13!

Carrie includes: Portrayals of bullying, religious extremism, hate-motivated violence, and mass murder in a school setting; depictions of blood and gore; profanity and homophobic language; references to sexual assault and sexual violence; references to animal cruelty; loud noises, flashing/strobing lights, smoke and haze.

General Information about the Musical Theater classes and Fall 2024 Enrollment

Students participating in the Fall 2024 Spring Musical production must enroll in BOTH MUS 410 (1 unit) and DRAM 208 (2 units).

  • MUS. 410.1* - Vocal Ensemble for the Musical Theater Production
  • DRAM 208 - Theatrical Production

*Students who have previously participated in a Skyline College spring musical and enrolled in MUS. 410.x would enroll in the next class in the levelled sequence (either 410.2, 410.3, or 410.4).

The two classes taken together provide the rehearsal time for the Spring Musical production.
Together, these classes are scheduled to meet on Tuesdays and Thursdays for the Fall 2024 semester from 1 – 4:30 p.m.  Class meetings begin Aug. 27 and end Nov. 21.
