The mission of the Black and Brown Scholars (BBS) is to provide cultural empowerment and support for the retention, completion, and transfer goals of men of color.

We seek to accomplish this mission by providing men of color in the SMCCCD, who take classes at Skyline College, with a community that focuses on social and academic support via individual, group, and peer mentoring, and through leadership development opportunities. BBS aims to provide contextualized and experiential learning that will foster intellectual, cultural, social, economic, and personal fulfillment.

The Black and Brown Scholars community welcomes all but not limited to students who identify as men of color.
