About Me

I am from Mexico and moved to the Bay Area in 2016. I am studying psychology, and expect to get a bachelor's degree at San Francisco State University. I plan to get a master’s degree in Psycho-Oncology because I think it is very important to support people and their families when they need it the most.

When I started at Skyline College, I wish I knew:

The importance of organization and time management in order to manage classes, homework, family, friends and self-care. I also wish I had known more about scholarships and support programs like EOPS and TRiO.

About Me

I am Asian American and lived most of my life around outer mission in San Francisco, CA. I am currently going into my second year of college at Skyline while majoring in English with a possible minor in creative writing. Additionally, I have even bigger plans of becoming an educator; a high school teacher and eventually a professor. On a final note, I am working on a poetry book, so stay tuned! Always remember to experience life, don’t endure it.

More about all the campus resources such as all the support programs like the Learning Center which provides tutoring, peer mentoring, workshop, SI sessions, and so much more! I also wished to take advantage of getting connected with other staff members across campus because teachers and counselors are not the only ones who have all the answers.

About Me

I moved to the Bay Area from Hong Kong in 2017. Being an early childhood educator, I value the importance of play in children’s life. I am studying early childhood education, and plan to receive a transfer degree in Studio Arts. My goal is to work as an art therapist to facilitate healing for children with special needs. I prioritize work-life balance and self-care because I believe that we can help others when we take care of ourselves first.

The number of helpful resources to support students and programs such as Health Center, personal counseling, peer tutoring, and Financial Aid. I am grateful to be able to find ways to access student services at Skyline and I’m sure I will be able to do the same as I attend other colleges in the future.

I am a Filipino American who grew up in South San Francisco most of my life. I started my education in Skyline College through the Middle College Program where I recently graduated from in 2020. Right now, I am a Communication Studies major who is trying to pursue a career in music business.

Major: Respiratory Care B.S. | Massage Therapy

About Me

I first went to UC Davis where I majored in Exercise Biology and took prerequisite classes at Sacramento City College to apply for respiratory therapy programs. Then I took prerequisite classes in biology at Cañada College before going to Foothill College. Aside from respiratory therapy, I worked as a medical interpreter in western Massachusetts. Trying to bring previous knowledge to a whole new level, other studies I was eager to dive into and programs I went through include yoga teacher training (College of San Mateo), Pilates mat instructor (College of San Mateo), EMT (Skyline College), health care interpreter (City College of San Francisco), and gerontology (UMass Boston) before officially starting at Skyline College to complete CSU transfer courses for the bachelor’s degree in Respiratory Care. I am currently seeking career options in marine transportation and hospital chaplaincy.
