Labor Market Trends & Research
Labor Market Trends & Research
Skyline College ensures we have measures in place to continually engage in strategies that examine workforce development needs, trends and projections. The Strategic Partnerships and Workforce Development works with faculty, staff and administrators to use a variety of data tools to guide us as we consider new program development, redesign of existing programs along with workforce and economic grant development. Data driven decision-making is at the heart of what we do.
Light Cast
Light Cast provides a number of Labor Market Reports to illuminate high demand, high skill, and high wage career pathways and industries. Light Cast reports can be helpful for faculty, administrators, and classified professionals seeking to learn about workforce trends in the area. These reports may be complementary to any CPR or PRU evaluation processes.
Centers of Excellence
Centers of Excellence aspire to be the leading source of regional workforce information and insight for California Community Colleges. Faculty seeking to establish new CTE Programs must request a Centers of Excellence regional labor market report prior to the program being voted upon by the Bay Area Community College Consortium (BACCC).
