Accessibility & Style

Writing with good accessibility standards and clear, well-structured content improves our user experience as well as our performance in search results and with AI chat results.

Linking to Other Resources

  • Please do not link to external guides such as department-maintained Google Docs or Linktrees. These resources are very difficult to maintain and can cause content & compliance problems.
    • If you would like to create an online resource guide, please contact the web programmer for help
  • Please avoid linking or embedding Google Calendars. Skyline College uses Livewhale Calendar for website display.
    • Contact the web programmer to see about how to include your events on the website.
  • If you link to external resources, review the links on a semesterly basis to make sure they are not broken or outdated.
  • Please do not create external websites outside of skylinecollege.edu. If you need a mini website created for an event or program, contact MCPR to get started.

Archives

For accessibility and content reasons, committees may keep the last 7 years of their documentation live online and are requested to store all other past documents offline. If you need an offline location created for past document storage, contact the web programmer analyst to get started.
