Students in the Guardian Scholars Program at Skyline College were invited to attend a gala sponsored by the John Burton Foundation celebrating former Senator, John Burton’s 85th birthday on December 10, 2015.
Students enjoyed getting pampered by the Skyline College Cosmetology Department, sharing an elegant three course meal at the San Francisco Fairmont Hotel with Guardian Scholars from other colleges, and sharing their unique stories and academic successes with John Burton Foundation donors.
Based in San Francisco, the John Burton Foundation for Children Without Homes works state-wide to improve the quality of life for California’s foster, former foster and homeless youth.
The Guardian Scholars Program would also like to extend a huge THANK YOU to the Skyline College Cosmetology Department, their students and instructors for donating their time and care to our Guardian Scholars to make them look and feel their best for the evening.
