citdAt the invitation of partner Napa Valley College Small Business Development Center, Allison Mello of Skyline College’s Center for International Trade Development addressed Specialty Food companies that are exploring export opportunities for their products. The seminar took place on March 10, 2014 in Napa, California. The audience was comprised of organic granola manufacturers, chocolatiers, an organic bakery, and nutritional supplement companies among others. Topics of the presentation included identifying your product’s Schedule B classification code(s); free trade agreements; INCO terms; and international logistics. In addition, Certified Global Business Professional® Allison Mello advised the audience of the vast array of resources available to exporters in their sector such as the Western United States Agricultural Trade Association (WUSATA) and the CalAgX educational program.
