2012 Spring Musical "Cabaret"

CabaretFor the first "full scale" Spring Musical production in over thirty years, The Performing Arts Department at Skyline College chose the classic favorite "Cabaret" to showcase our student talent and dedication to the art of live theatre. Every night of the run played to packed houses and recieved standing ovations as audiences were once again entertained by the amazing abilities of Skyline College students both in front as well as behind the scenes.

2011 Performing Arts Showcase

showcase 2011Skyline College offers a variety of Performing Arts Classes from Vocal to Dance to Technical Production.  From Technical Production, Voice, Dance, to Guitar and Concert/Jazz band, all classes work together to produce an annual "Performing Arts Showcase" in the Fall.  A number of polished performances are showcased by a variety of instructors and students that culminates in a fully working large scale Variety Show style performance. 

Skyline College Theatre Club

theatre clubSkyline College Theatre Club has been active since November 2008.  Every year, the students involved produce two to three shows that they direct, perform, and crew themselves.  Theatre Club also attempts to engage the other students here at Skyline through the performing arts with outdoor events like "Shakespeare in the Quad" and live Band performances for Club Rush.  Students learn how to organize, produce, and enjoy the rush that comes with being responsible for a live performance.

performing arts classesSkyline College offers a variety of Performing Arts Classes from Vocal to Dance to Technical Production.  All classess work together to produce an annual "Spring Musical" that culminates in a fully working large scale "Broadway-Style" performance.  Students learn what kind of team building as well as individual efforts this kind of production requires, culminating in a showcase of talent on as well as off stage.
