Chinatown_SFOn October 25, all of the Bécalos students will visit China Town in SF, as part of the Bécalos Cultural Immersion component of their exchange program.

These trips are born of the belief that full integration into an educational process involves perspectives from various aspects of the community. To enhance and bring this belief to fruition, the GLPS division has established a weekend immersion series for the Bécalos Students.  The students will be “immersed” in an experience of different cultures, civil engagement activities and community diversity events throughout the Bay Area.

After the field trip the students are given an assignment to prepare a presentation addressing a number of things, from cultural differences such as people, dress, and atmosphere to the most interesting thing they learned from the trip. These presentations are open to the entire campus and will be held every Friday, in room 2306 from 12:00pm until 1:00pm.
