Chris Armanino (Public Safety Officer)

Biography

Chris Armanino comes to Skyline from the private sector where he worked security for a highly respected hotel in San Francisco. Officer Armanino grew up in San Carlos, attended Serra High School, Cañada College and then went on to receive his Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice at Sonoma State University. In both high school and college, Chris was a member of the baseball team, playing in the infield, mostly at third base. He is still an avid baseball fan and in his off time works as a Reserve Police Officer for the City of Kensington.

Paul Barbosa (Campus Public Safety Officer)

Biography

Officer Barbosa has been with Skyline College since April 2011. His public service career started in 1998 with three years as a Public Safety Officer with UC Hastings College. He subsequently spent seven years as a federal police officer with MASA at Moffett Field in Mt View. During his last years with NASA he was also a reserve police officer with the City of Millbrae Police Department. He has also worked for the Brisbane Police Department as well as being an officer with the California State University Maritime Academy in Vallejo. He completed the California Commission on Police Officers Standards and Training (POST) Basic Police Academy at Yuba College. He holds numerous professional certificates from POST as well as the California Narcotics Officers association. He is currently attending Los Medanos College (Pittsburg, California) pursuing a degree in Communications. He is married, has four children and lives with his family in Contra Costa County.

Steven Cornejo (Public Safety Assistant)

Biography

Officer Cornejo has been with the Skyline College Department of Public Safety for 20 years. He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree from San Francisco State University. He takes Administration of Justice courses for professional development and physical education classes for personal development. He lives with his wife and two children in San Mateo County.

Robert Dean (Chief Public Safety Officer)

Biography

Rob Dean was recently promoted to Chief after serving as a Public Safety Officer at both Canada and College of San Mateo. He comes to the college district from having served for 24 years with the Millbrae Police Department retiring as a Captain and most recently working for the San Francisco Giants. Rob graduated from the University of Idaho, majoring in Political Science and from Notre Dame de Namur University receiving a Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology. He is a resident of San Mateo County and the father of 4 daughters and one son.

Biography

Officer Reyes has been with Skyline College for 24 years, the last 21 years with the Department of Public Safety. He holds two Associates Degrees from Skyline College, a Bachelors in Human Physiology from San Francisco State University and a Masters in Occupational Therapy from Samuel Merritt University. As a small business owner he provides specialty services to local hospitals and clinics in the bay area. He lives in the San Mateo County area with his wife and three children.

Sundarath Tan (Public Safety Officer)

Biography

Officer Tan has been with Skyline College for 11 years, the last six as a Public Safety Officer. He holds an Associate of Arts Degree from Portland Community College and a Bachelor of Arts Degree from San Francisco State University. He recently received a Certificate In Administration of Justice from the College of San Mateo. He is married and resides with his wife in San Mateo County.

Ludivico Viray (Public Safety Officer)

Biography

Ludivico Viray, more commonly known as JR around campus comes to us from the private sector, working asset protection for Best Buy before being hired by the District. Officer Viray attended Chabot College where he became well versed in Computer Science and Software Systems. Prior to attending Chabot, Officer Viray was enrolled at the Academy of Art University in San Francisco pursuing a degree in Graphic Design, then worked in the San Francisco Financial District doing graphic designing for a large well-known consulting firm.
