The priority use of Internet access is for students working on
course-related assignments and other library/research activities.

Chatting, game playing & other non-academic activities are
PROHIBITED ON ALL LIBRARY COMPUTERS EXCEPT TABLE C


Existing Skyline College and SMCCCD District policies with respect to student conduct, harassment, and discrimination shall prevail.

Users will:

  1. respect college priorities for use of facilities,
  2. follow normal standards of security, ethics, conduct, and protocol which will include considerate behavior with respect to others,
  3. respect the privacy of other users,
  4. respect the legal protection of copyright and license agreement,
  5. respect the integrity of computing systems.

Unacceptable uses will include:

  1. any illegal or inappropriate use of college facilities,
  2. activities which interfere with or disrupt network users, services or equipment,
  3. use representing for-profit activities
  4. extensive use for private and personal business,
  5. displaying sexually explicit, graphically disturbing, or sexually harassing images or text on a college computer unless it is directly related to a college course.
