SKYLINE LIBRARY WIRELESS PRINTING INSTRUCTIONS

Log onto
the website: www.printspots.com/edu-skylinecollege
On the “Select
your printer” page,
Click on the Use this Printer button near the bottom of the page.
This will
take you to the “Select your document or web page” page.
Under the
heading Document or Web Page you will
select your document for printing in one of two ways:
Under the
heading Enter Your Network ID for
Document Pickup you will enter a User ID of your choosing, e.g. your
first name or initials.
The next
heading Document Options is for
selecting additional options.
Select Next. Your print job will appear in the
tracking center on the right and can be sent to the Skyline Library Print
Release Station by clicking on Print.
(The Print Release Station is located to the left of the library Reference
Desk.)
To obtain
printouts, insert a print card and enter your User ID from above at the Print
Release Station.
There may be a slight delay (up
to a few minutes) before wireless print jobs appear on the Print Release
Station.
To install software on your laptop
or PC which will allow you to set
HOW TO INSTALL PRINTWHERE
SOFTWARE ON YOUR LAPTOP OR PC FOR Wi-Fi PRINTING
Using
Internet Explorer, link to: http://www.printeron.net/solutions/products/printwhere/download.html
Click on
the Download button.
On the screen
“Do you want to run or save this file?” select Run.
On the
screen “Do you want to run this software?” select Run.
On the next
page, “License Agreement”, select Yes
and the installation will begin.
On the next
page, “Setup Complete”, select Choose a
printer now and click Finish.
The PrintWhere program will now start and
display a Choose a Printer screen.
Under
keywords, type “
Highlight
the
On the next
window, to confirm destination, click on Select.
The Skyline
College Library printer is now your default printer; it is named PrintWhere 3.0.
This is for
Windows only; a Mac driver is not available at this time.
**Be aware
that your default printer has been changed to PrintWhere 3.0 and needs to be manually changed back if you use
other printers from your computer. You can then always use the Wi-Fi printing
software by going to File—Print and
selecting PrintWhere 3.0. Do not use PrintWhere 3.0 Plug-in.**
HOW TO PRINT USING PRINTWHERE
AFTER INSTALLING Wi-Fi PRINTING SOFTWARE
Open
document to be printed and print as usual.
**If PrintWhere is not your default printer you must go to File—Print and select PrintWhere 3.0 as your printer and then
print.**
The
PrintWhere program will be displayed with a description of your print job.
Enter a
User ID of your choosing, e.g. your first name or initials, and select Approve. It may take a moment for the Approve button to be ready as PrintWhere connects to the network.
To obtain
printouts, insert a print card and enter your User ID from above at the Print
Release Station in the Library.
