Workability III Program
The Workability III (WAIII) Program assists persons with disabilities to obtain and retain competitive employment. WAIII is a cooperative program between Skyline College and the California Department of Rehabilitation (DOR). WAIII serves people with disabilities who are clients of the DOR, and local employers who need qualified candidates to become part of their team.
Workability III assists Job Seekers
Services to candidates include:
Job development; training in employment preparation skills; job retention skills training; career guidance; and educational planning and guidance.
Workability III assists Employers
In addition to assisting students and community members who have been referred by the Department of Rehabilitation to reach their employment goals, the program is also focused on meeting the needs of the local community and employers.
Services to employers include:
Referrals of screened, qualified and motivated candidates; on-the job support to assist with training needs; follow-up services to ensure employee and employer satisfaction; information about employer tax credits; training and information on disability legislation; connection with college and community programs and resources.
